BTS’s Breaking Records With “Dynamite”

Dynamite, the latest track by the K-Pop band BT, is shattering recording all over the world and looks set to be the UK’s number one single this friday.

This music video made a new world wide record of most viewed video in 24 hours with over 101 million. That surpasses the previous record, set by fellow K-Pop band Blackpink, whose song How You Like That racked up 86.3 million views in 24 hours in June. Now it’s been 5 days since it’s release and it has reached 210 million.

Dynamite is the first single from BTS to be sung entirely in English. According to a press release, “BTS sings of joy and confidence, treasuring the little things in life that make life truly valuable and special” in the single.

According to the Official Chart Company, Dynamite notched up 1.7 million UK streams in its first 48 hours, and is currently 1,700 chart sales ahead of Joel Corry & MNEK chart-topper Head & Heart.

“This song aims to bring a new surge of much-needed ‘energy’ to reinvigorate the global community in the midst of Covid-19,” the release states. “Creative contributors to “Dynamite” include David Stewart & Jessica Agombar, popularly known for “What A Man Gotta Do” by Jonas Brothers and “I Love You’s” by Hailee Steinfeld.”

This song is already a huge hit and has the potential to reach the billion mark very soon.
