Days after India banned 59 chinese apps, India’s first ever social media app was launched by Vice President, Venkaiah Naidu, on July 5 (Sunday). The app is known as “Elyments”. This super app offers all the features which are available on Facebook, Innstagram and Whatsapp such as video and voice calls, instant messaging as well as social networking. This app has been developed by more than 1000 IT professionals. And this was done in a very short period to boost the confidence of Indian citizens regarding the banned chinese apps and result as an extensive push to “Make In India” initiative.
“I am happy to note that more than one thousand IT professionals, who are also the volunteers of the Art of Living, have together created an indigenous app named Elyments. It’s appreciable that the app will be available in eight Indian languages,” the Vice President said during launching of the app virtually.
This app is available in 8 languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and English. Also, they are working on the app so that it will be available in all the languages so that every country can make use of it. This app is now available on Google play store and apple store to download. This app is mainly created to maintain the privacy of the user’s data, therefore, the data will not be shared with any third without the user’s explicit consent.
Elyments has crossed over 1,00,000 downloads on Play Store within 24 hours of its launch.Now its been a month exactly and it has more than a million downloads and 4.4 user rating in Play Store.
